A mysterious blob washed up on a UK beach could be worth ยฃ400,000. The blob was discovered on Irvine beach in Ayrshire, Scotland by a dog and its owner. The owner, Patrick Williamson, realized the blob was ambergris, a valuable byproduct produced in the intestines of sperm whales. Ambergris is used in the cosmetic and perfume industries to create high value fragrances. Williamson is currently having the blob tested to determine its worth. If it is valued in the thousands, Williamson is unsure what he will do with the money.
